Football
Govilon AFC play in local leagues and use the playing fields on the edge of the village. Fixtures are posted in the events calendar. Junior training sessions are held on Saturdays.
Abergavenny Thursday play in the nearby market town of Abergavenny.
The nearest league clubs are Cardiff (Division 1) and Hereford (Division 3). Both teams are within an hour's car drive or train ride.
Rugby
The National game of Wales is well represented in the area. The nearest club is Abergavenny RFC and they play in Bailey Park, Abergavenny.
Hang & Para Gliding
Do you want to sprout wings and fly? Well, we can't give you wings but we can show you where you can go hang or para gliding. Drive up onto the Blorenge, jump off with a guide and fly all the way down to Abergavenny's Castle Meadows. This is a way of looking at Wales' scenery from another perspective.
