About Govilon

Govilon.com Website

Govilon.com websiteThe Govilon Village Community Website has been designed to provide a resource to visitors and residents alike.
Visitors and Tourists coming to the Abergavenny area will find a growing collection of fascinating things to do and places to see in this area, all contributed by local residents sharing their experiences and those of their friends and families.
Residents will find a useful and up-to-date ‘village diary’ of events happening in the village, village news, and a directory of village organisations, voluntary groups and businesses. Everyone is welcome to add their contributions to the site, promote their group, organisation or business, and keep our website up to date and full of useful information.

The community website was set up by the Govilon Heritage group- and the word “Heritage” in our title means that part of our work is to build up the fullest possible history of this village and its environs. A long-term aim for the website is to use it to collect and compile the history of our village. We are starting work on this part of the website soon, and would very much welcome your contributions for this, as well.

The majority of content on this website has been contributed by members of the Govilon community. The web team are constantly updating parts of the site and adding new content provided by village residents. If you have any content you would like to submit, contact the web team (see link on right) and let us know.
